Pi Kapp Trash Bash: “A Clean Sweep”
Members of the Beta Omicron Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity are doing their part to keep Natchitoches beautiful. On September 9, 2007 the Fraternity held their regular “Trash Bash” . Members walked over a mile, clearing trash and debris from the roadside. In 2006, the chapter adopted University Parkway, the main thoroughfare leading into Natchitoches. The Fraternity chose the street because of its high visibility to residents and tourists. “It’s important that NSU students take pride in their community, so we help out where we can,” Pi Kappa Phi President DJ Klucznik said. The roadside is cleaned at least four times each year.
