push-america-heading1 Miss Push America Pageant:

The Miss Push America Pageant, an outreach project of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, aims to raise awareness on behalf of people with disabilities. Prior to the competition, contestants are encouraged to raise funds and awareness for the fraternity’s philanthropy, Push America. The overall winner is selected based on judges’ scoring from interviews, fitness/sportswear, evening gown, and an on-stage question. A non-scoring talent portion included performances by contestants. Miss Push America then serves as an official ambassador for Push America on the NSU campus during the following school year.

Save the date! Our next Miss Push America Pageant is Thursday, March 1st, 2012 at 7 PM.

narc-frienship-visitPi Kappa Phi regularly participates in friendship visits with the Natchitoches Association of Retarded Citizens. The partnership allows the Fraternity to interact with our friends with disabilities and provide services to the association as needed. Each year the chapter is able to present the N.A.R.C. with a check to aid the organization’s services to the Natchitoches community. The grant is a percentage of the funds raised for Push America by the NSU chapter.
