The dates of Formal Recruitment for NSU Greek Fraternities will be announced soon.

Those interested will have the opportunity to learn about each of NSU’s six fraternities and visit with chapter members. If you are interested in Greek Life, you are encouraged to participate in Formal Recruiment 2008.

Pi Kappa Phi at Northwestern State is “Second to None.” Choosing a fraternity can be a really hard decision. Pi Kapps are up front about who we are, each of our members are living proof of why we’re America’s Leading Fraternity. In 2007 Pi Kappa Phi was named the NSU Fraternity of the Year.  Pi Kappa Phi was also the only NSU fraternity to recieve “Gold Status”, for meeting all standards of chapter operations. Our chapter was also named a Pi Kappa Phi Champion Master Chapter, signifying Beta Omicron as one of the top Pi Kappa Phi chapters nationally.

We are also proud to hold the highest IFC fraternity GPA in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. Not only are Pi Kapps leaders in the classroom, but on the field as well. Pi Kapp at NSU was the Intramural all-sports champions in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006.

Pi Kappa Phi is also the only fraternity to own and operate its own philanthropy. Push America was founded in 1977 by Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity with the purpose of instilling lifelong service in its members and enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities. Push America is still fulfilling the purpose it was intended for, but has grown into a nationwide organization with numerous programs educating undergraduates, alumni, and communities about the abilities of people with disabilities.

Pi Kapp is only one part of your college experience at NSU. Our fraternity is designed to complement your extra-curricular experiences, not restrict others. Pi Kapps are involved in honor societies, student media, NSU athletics, professional organizations, student government, and dozens of other organizations.
