Beta Omicron Ranked Among Top Pi Kappa Phi Chapters June 15, 2007

Fraternity members from across the nation headed to Raleigh, North Carolina to particpate in Pi Kappa Phi’s biennial summer leadership conference. Pi Kapp College is designed to help improve chapter operations by hosting a variety of leadership seminars and individual chapter analysis. The NSU delegation consisted of Treasurer Britt Richey, Push America Chairman Cody Bourque, Risk Managment Chairman Collin McKnight, and Brother Jake Horaist.
NSU’s Beta Omicron Chapter was named a Champion Master Chapter, an award given to only the top chapters of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. These chapters exemplify the goals and ideals of the fraternity in overall chapter operations. Beta Omicron recieved master chapter status in the areas of Alumni Relations, Sound Chapter Operations, Academic Achievement, Recruitment Success, and Living the Ritual. The chapter was also a recipient of the Added Value Award for an outstanding committment to Alumni relations and alumni initiates.

The following is a news release written by Leah Jackson of the NSU News Bureau. She wrote about the recent efforts of the Beta Omicron Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi for its philanthrophy, Push America. Four chapter members were also mentioned for their involvement in major Push America programs. The release is posted on the university’s website www.nsula.edu, which is visible to thousands of visitors daily.
“Some members of the Northwestern State University Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity are participating in cross-country bicycle rides to raise money and awareness for people with disabilities. The students are involved with Push America, a national Pi Kappa Phi organization that provides service to individuals with disabilities through fund raising, awareness and volunteerism. (more…)
