Rush Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity

recruitment-20081Formal Recruitment for Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity will be held September 2-5, 2008. Those interested will have the opportunity to learn about each of NSU’s six fraternities and visit with chapter members. If you are interested in Greek Life, you are encouraged to participate in Formal Recruiment 2008.  Outside of Formal Recruitment, Pi Kappa Phi has scheduled many functions allowing you get to know the brothers of Pi Kapp. For more information please visit the Office of Student Activities (Room 214 of the Student Union). Beta Omicron alumnus named to prestigious Nu Phi Society

Beta Omicron chapter alumnus and re-chartering archon Wes Breeden is now among the select few inducted into the Pi Kappa Phi Foundation’s Nu Phi Society, an honorary group that recognizes an alumnus’ lifelong commitment to Pi Kappa Phi. On August 2, 2008, Breeden joined David Morgan Sr. as the only members of the Nu Phi Society from Northwestern State University.

The Nu Phi Society was created in 1983 at the 39th Supreme Chapter in Mobile, Alabama. The initial purpose was to recognize the loyalty of alumni who demonstrated extraordinary commitment to the fraternity by their consistent attendance at Supreme Chapter. Shortly after the very first meeting in 1983, the Nu Phi Society soon adopted a supporting role to the Pi Kappa Phi Foundation. Today, Nu Phi Society members annually contribute more than $35,000 in unrestricted revenue to the Foundation. Read the rest of this entry

Beta Omicron ranked among top Pi Kappa Phi chapters nationally

supreme-chapter-2008Fraternity members from across the nation convened in Denver, Colorado for Pi Kappa Phi’s 51st biennial Supreme Chapter. The convention delegation from Beta Omicron consisted of Archon Britt Richey, Vice Archon Nick Breaux, and alumni members Robert Crew, David Morgan Sr., Wes Breeden and Rodney Clements. Northwestern State’s Beta Omicron Chapter was recognized as a Champion Master Chapter, a distinction given to only the top chapters of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. In fact, Beta Omicron was one of only 21 to be honored with this award, making the chapter among the top 15 percent of Pi Kappa Phi’s 140 chapters across the nation. Read the rest of this entry
