Pi Kappa Phi alumnus named commander within Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations

Luke Leger, an alumnus of the Beta Omicron Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity at Northwestern State University, has been named commander of the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations, Criminal Investigations Division for Region 2.

Captain Leger brings over 21 years of law enforcement experience, including 18 years of dedicated service with the Louisiana State Police. Throughout his career, he has served in a variety of roles, including Patrol, Motors, Crash Reconstructionist, Mobile Field Force, Criminal Patrols, Detective, Patrol Sergeant, and, most recently, as Criminal Investigations Division Lieutenant.

Currently assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division, Captain Leger has demonstrated a strong commitment to public safety and investigative excellence. He is the recipient of the FBI Trilogy Award and is a recent graduate of the University of Virginia National Criminal Justice Command College.

“On behalf of the Louisiana State Police and the Department of Public Safety family, we extend our congratulations to Captain Leger on this well-deserved promotion and thank him for his continued commitment to public safety,” a news release stated.
