Northwestern State University alumnus Lane Luckie has been named Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity’s ‘Pi Kapp College Facilitator of the Year’ for 2020.
The annual award recognizes the most outstanding volunteer facilitator at the fraternity’s officer training and emerging leaders institutes.
A 2008 graduate of NSU, Lane is a news anchor the ABC affiliate in Tyler, Texas.
Lane has spent countless hours working with chapters around the country as a facilitator for the fraternity’s Ladder of Risk, Alcohol Skills Training Program, and Ultimate Respect in Action workshops.
In 2020, he served a facilitator for the Pi Kapp College for Chapter Officers sessions in Dallas, Texas and Charlotte, North Carolina and has volunteered with with the leadership conference in a number of roles since 2008.
For several years, he has also served as lead faculty and huddle faculty for Pi Kapp College for Emerging Leaders, the fraternity’s week-long emerging leaders institute held at the University of South Carolina.
Lane serves on the board of directors for the Beta Omicron Alumni Chapter, working closely with alumni and student leaders at NSU. He previously served as chapter advisor at both the University of Texas at Tyler and Stephen F. Austin State University.
He was previously named ‘Facilitator of the Year’ in 2012.
