Beta Omicron again ranked among top Pi Kappa Phi chapters nationally

Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity’s Beta Omicron Chapter at Northwestern State University was again ranked among the organization’s top undergraduate chapters, nationwide, for 2025.

Earlier this month, chapters were recognized for their achievements from the previous year. Student leaders were recognized during the Pi Kapp College for Chapter Officers national conferences for excelling in several areas, including governance, financial integrity, member education, recruitment and retention, living the ritual and student experience. Individual awards and recognition for excellence in philanthropy are also awarded.

Pi Kappa Phi’s highest awards for undergraduate chapters, Champion Master Chapters and Founders’ Awards were handed out. To be named a Champion Master Chapter and, therefore, a finalist for the Founders’ Award, chapters must have achieved a composite score of “three stars” in each of the organization’s Seven Objectives: governance, growth, member experience, branding and communication, scholarship, service and philanthropy and campus involvement.

The Beta Omicron Chapter at Northwestern State University has earned Champion Master Chapter status for the calendar year 2025, a second year in a row.

Of the fraternity’s more-than 165 active chapters nationwide, only 15 percent earned either ‘Champion Master Chapter’ or a ‘Founders’ Award.’

“These chapters exemplify what it means to lead with purpose, serving their campuses and communities while strengthening their brotherhoods,” the national headquarters posted.

“Throughout 2025, these brothers demonstrated exceptional leadership, a commitment to service and a deep dedication to our shared values, all while balancing the demands of the undergraduate experience. Their pursuit of excellence and personal growth reflects the very best of Pi Kappa Phi.”

The NSU Pi Kapps also received the Founder Mixson Chapter of Excellence Award, Retention Excellence recognition, and as a leader in Ability Camp participation.

Member Ayden Slack was also recognized at the IFC New Member of the Year.
