To commemorate 70 years since the Beta Omicron Chapter’s founding in 1956, the Beta Omicron Alumni Chapter is announcing a membership drive to help ensure the student chapter’s success into the next momentous era at NSU.
The ’70 for 70′ campaign looks to achieve at least 70 alumni who are actively involved in the Beta Omicron Alumni Chapter. As of the launch of this membership drive, we are already 60% to our goal!
Alumni Chapter Treasurer Michael Allain penned this letter inviting your support of this initiative:
Dear brothers:
Fraternally yours,
It is hard to believe, but we are rapidly approaching the 70th anniversary of the founding of our chapter at Northwestern State University. We have chosen Saturday, September 12, 2026 to celebrate that momentous occasion, so we hope you can join us (more on that to come).
In that 70 years, we have proudly grown our initiated ranks to over 800 men. Congratulations to you all for your part in getting us there. Along the way, we have put forth a lot of accomplishments and supportive structure to ensure that our chapter remains strong, long into the future. The Beta Omicron Alumni Chapter Of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity Housing Corporation, Inc. was formed in the early 2000s as the board that supports the undergraduate chapter and runs it like a business.
Our major purpose is to ensure that our chapter has adult mentorship and guidance in order to remain strong and prosperous. If you recall, we purchased an off-campus house in 2000 when the chapter re-chartered after an 18 year hiatus. The Alumni Chapter/Housing Corporation functions as the owner/landlord for housing and all funds for rent go through us. That house was paid off and a beautiful new house was built 5 years ago that sleeps 12 and is the envy of campus. While rents from the chapter help to cover the financial burden required to pay for and run the house, we still rely on alumni donations to offset the other costs such as recruiting, education and other essential needs that the rents do not cover.
Alumni donations are essential to making up that difference. Currently, we have 44 brothers spanning classes from several decades that donate on a monthly or yearly basis to assist us in that department. With over 800 alumni, we feel there are many more out there who would love to join our alumni organization and help us remain financially strong going forward.
So, in honor of our upcoming 70th anniversary, we are launching the Seventy for 70 campaign in hopes of getting our recurring donor list to 70 or more by the 70th celebration this September. Please join us in our endeavor to keep Beta Omicron strong, now and in the future. We need you. By donating $10-$20 per month, you can do so much for our chapter and feel the reward of inclusion in the future success of your undergraduate brotherhood.
You may contribute in the following ways: Bank Draft, through our website,
or mailing a check.
Thank you for continued leadership and brotherhood in Pi Kappa Phi. We look forward to hearing from you.
Michael Allain, Treasurer
