Alumni of the Beta Omicron Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity at Northwestern State University were among the supporters recognized by the Pi Kappa Phi Foundation for gifts made in 2025.
Making a donation to the Pi Kappa Phi Foundation is an investment in the success of our members, providing access to values-based leadership education and empowering servant leaders for life. The Foundation supports a wide range of opportunities for members, including national and chapter-level educational programs, leadership conferences, scholarships and academic awards and historic preservation.
These programs are among the most influential and beneficial of Pi Kappa Phi members’ experience, giving them supportive growth opportunities and a genuine connection with their brothers. Gifts to the Pi kappa Phi Foundation enable our student members to thrive personally, academically and professionally and ensure the strength of our brotherhood for the future.
About the Pi Kappa Phi Foundation
The primary mission of the Pi Kappa Phi Foundation is to provide financial support for leadership and educational programming of the Fraternity. Each year, the Foundation provides more than $160,000 in educational grants to support student development and more than $100,000 in direct student aid to Pi Kappa Phi brothers around the country.
Ways to Give
The Pi Kappa Phi Foundation supports the academic and personal success of brothers nationwide through generous financial assistance and scholarships. These national and chapter-specific scholarships are awarded through a variety of programs.
The Leadership Fund is critical to continuing Pi Kappa Phi’s leadership development, alcohol education programming and scholarship development for generations to come. All gifts to the Leadership Fund support the Foundation’s area of greatest need and help to fulfill the organization’s mission.
Chapter Investment Funds (CIFs) are endowment-type accounts held by the Foundation that allow alumni and friends of the fraternity the ability to make a tax-deductible gift to Pi Kappa Phi and restrict that gift to a specific chapter. Many of the donors from the Beta Omicron chapter made a contribution to the CIF. Each year, the Foundation allows 4 percent of the CIF to be used in support of educational initiatives at the Beta Omicron chapter.
Members of Pi Kappa Phi who include the Foundation in their estate plans, name the Foundation as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or include the Foundation in another legacy gift instrument, are eligible for the Gateway Society. While some choose to remain anonymous in their gift planning, others, like Beta Omicron chapter alumnus Doug Barnett, recognize that their philanthropy may inspire others to make an impact on the fraternity.
The National President’s Circle recognizes current undergraduate students who have made a gift of $20.00 or more to the Foundation. These gifts go towards Pi Kappa Phi’s areas of greatest need and help to support the costs of current students’ leadership and educational programs. Several members of the Beta Omicron chapter participate in this giving club annually.
