Beta Omicron chapter intramurals off to strong start

Beta Omicron chapter intramurals off to strong startThe Beta Omicron chapter of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity’s intramural sports teams are demonstrating consistent strength across the board.

Tennis was solid this semester as member Cody Bourque beat out the other Greeks, placing second in the multi-round elimination. The volleyball season also ended with a Pi Kappa Phi second place finish.  Brandon Ray also placed second in the 3 point shootout, edging out the other Fraternity contestants. The football season is proving to be a bright spot as the boys in blue and gold won their fifth game to stay undefeated at 5-0.
The Pi Kapps beat Sigma Nu Fraternity 35-16 on Wednesday October 24, 2007.  The game was heading towards a Sigma Nu comeback when cornerback Collin McKnight intercepted a pass to put the momentum back on the Pi Kapps’ side. Following the interception Quarterback Jake Horaist passed to DJ Kluznick for a touchdown and Pi Kapps never looked back as they ran away with game.

With the win, Pi Kappa Phi will square off against Sigma Nu Fraternity in the Greek Championship Game on October 29, 2007.  If they move on, Pi Kapp will play their first playoff game against “Team Stud” on Wenesday October 31, 2007 at 3 PM.
