Pi Kappa Phi’s 8th annual golf tournament a success

Pi Kappa Phi's 8th annual golf tournament a successCloudy skies didn’t put a damper on the excitement surrounding the shotgun start for Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity’s 8th annual golf tournament. Saturday, March 15, 2014, chapter alumni alumni, family and friends of the Fraternity and community members teed-off in cool weather at Northwestern Hills Golf Course.

Two-person amateur teams competed for a $200 cash prize, handed out in an awards ceremony following lunch in the clubhouse. First place was a tie, with father/son duo TJ O’Rourke and Thomas O’Rourke scoring 72. Sean Austin and David Hogan also came away with a 72. Josh Manotas and Cory Wilson shared third place with a score of 85. TJ O’Rourke claimed “nearest to the pin” with a distance of 9 feet 5 inches. Longest drive went to Sean Austin.

Tournament Coordinator Aaron Finimore said this year’s event was particularly successful, thanks to the tremendous support of area businesses and individuals. “We’re really grateful for the amount of support these hole sponsors give to Pi Kappa Phi and Northwestern State University.” 2014 Golf Tournament sponsors include:
