The Beta Omicron Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi is proud to present the inaugural Miss Push America Pageant at NSU at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2010. Founded in 1977, Push America is the national philanthropy of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity.
Through its mission, building leaders of tomorrow by serving people with disabilities today, Push America has raised millions of dollars for and positively impacted the lives of thousands of people with disabilities.
The Miss Push America Pageant is designed to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities. The pageant will require contestants to compete in a personal interview, fitness/sports wear (exercise attire, NO swimsuits allowed), and evening gown. The top 5 contestants will answer an on-stage question. Contestants will also have the option to compete in a separate talent competition that will have no bearing on scoring toward the crowning of the 2010 Miss Push America.
Please join the brothers of Pi Kappa Phi in their effort to raise money for people with mental and physical disabilities. The informational meeting for contestants is March 30th at 8:00 p.m. in the Student Union. For more information contact director Whitney Mixon or executive producer Nick Breaux. All proceeds from this event benefit people with disabilities. To learn more visit http://www.pushamerica.org
